As Managing Director,
David is responsible for overall firm strategy as well
as deal and engagement execution.
David brings 28 years
of extensive financial management experience in a very
broad range of business environments both in Trinidad
& Tobago and Canada. He started his professional
career as an auditor with Pannell Fitzpatrick, Port
of Spain, then one of the region’s "Big Five"
accounting firms. Immediately following this he joined
PECU, one of the predominant credit unions in the Caribbean
at the time, starting off as lead Accountant and later
running the entire operation as General Manager. Since
then he has held a number of major accounting and management
positions including Chief of Finance & Accounting
at SNCL - a state enterprise, and Administration Manager
of the Business Services Division at Telco (now TSTT),
the national telephone company.
In 1989, David moved
to Canada and founded DCCGA, a public accounting and
financial advisory firm located in Markham, Ontario.
He continues to serve as CEO and President of DCCGA
and sits on the boards of several local enterprises.
He is an active member of a number of community and
business organizations including the Scarborough Chamber
of Commerce where he serves on the Strategic Planning
and Marketing Committees.
David earned his ACCA
designation (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants,
United Kingdom) in 1989 and his CGA designation (Certified
General Accountants’ Association, Canada) in 1991.
He was named a fellow of the ACCA in 1994.
Jarel is responsible for building strategic partnerships
along with deal and engagement execution and support.
Prior to Brookmill, Jarel
served as the President of TwoFiveBlue Inc; a US based
consulting services firm established to provide strategic
and technological advice to companies in various industries
including: Media, Finance and Business Advisory.
Prior to TwoFiveBlue, Jarel served as an analyst at
Carthage Venture Partners, now The Carthage Group, a
New York City venture capital / private equity firm
focused on investing in suppliers, partners and divestitures of Fortune 500 companies. Jarel
provided strategic support to the fund partners in the
origination, analysis, structuring and management of
investment opportunities. He was also responsible for
producing industry reports on emerging technologies.
Jarel was educated at
Columbia University in New York City, where he earned
a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science.
